About Our Bodily Resurrection And Firstfruits From The Dead In Christ

Today, I'm going to let Scripture speak for itself about these issues since it does so very clearly. It is up to you to believe what Scriptures clearly say about our bodily resurrection or not. During this article please ask yourself, who was the firstfruits from the dead in Christ, as I believe that will help bring answers to apparent mysteries that some have about the state of the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:20-26
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

John 5:28
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

1 Corinthians 15:52
in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Yes, those who are the dead in Christ will life again once we experience our bodily resurrection from the grave. Since Jesus is clearly the firstfruits from the dead, we have this hope. However, that life begins when Jesus returns for us not the instant after we die.
